In 2020, amid widespread political turbulence and the grisliness of the pandemic, the composer Max Richter released Voices, a stirring audiovisual album, made in collaboration with the filmmaker Yulia Mahr, that was shaped from readings of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights by people across the globe.
